Measured by us. August 2026 run.
There is one question a buyer in this channel actually types: who are the best marketing agencies for telecoms companies in the UK. We put it to eight systems: Google organic, its AI Overview and its AI Mode, ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, with the wording held fixed so one run can be set against the next.
On the August 2026 run, forty-three firms were named. None appeared in more than five. Not one of them is built for the telecoms channel.
The names will move. That is the reason for asking again rather than treating one run as permanent.
That gap exists in your market too, and it is the whole opportunity.
Two problems, two solutions
Search engines reward structure, speed, content depth and links. Standard work, done properly.
AI assistants reward something different. Corroboration from directories and independent sources. Verifiable credentials. Clear, checkable claims about what you are. And for one major platform, your Google Business Profile and your review rating.
Three different levers move three different systems, and we work all three.
Credentials now show up in the answer
When Google's AI answers were tested in August 2026, the system built a comparison table and scored every firm in a column for compliance credentials.
In this channel that means the things you can actually evidence. Ofcom RID holding. ICO registration. ISO certification. Vendor and wholesaler accreditations. Trade body membership. Most telecoms businesses hold several of these and bury them in a footer, which is a wasted asset.
Part of our work is identifying what you can prove and putting it where both buyers and AI systems will find it.
That test will read differently in a year, which is the argument for checking it rather than assuming it.
How we work
Before we start, you can take an AI Visibility Audit from Digital Trust Audit Ltd: 25 buyer questions agreed with you, put to seven AI answer surfaces twice on one stated day, with Google search captured separately as a control. We build for both tracks from what it finds. The work is set up so the same questions are read again at a stated interval, and movement is visible rather than asserted.
What we will not publish
We publish findings and levers, in detail. We do not publish the question set behind any measurement, ours or a client's. Once the questions are known they can be written to, and from that point the measurement records the writing rather than the market.
What you get reported
Where you appear, on which surfaces, against which named firms, what each surface answered from, and what has changed since the last reading. Written in plain sentences, with the evidence underneath.
